holy crap I don't post nearly enough :P
I've been really busy though. the summer brings nice weather, which means I spend alot more time out in the yard working, as I love my yard. I've also been busy playing with steel, as evident by my flickr account, I built a MAPP gas powered forge, and have been working on creating some complete custom knives, from bar stock O1 steel.
Just recently, my poor G3 ibook decided to kinda die. Not in any big way, just the Airport card, battery, etc. I could probably get it running again, but really, at 7 years old, what's the point. I broke down and went shopping. Now, you may think that since I've owned a mac for some years now, and I support them at work, that makes me a "mac guy" but I never really considered myself that. I mean, I bought my iBook second hand from a co-worker at the Big Blue Box, and never really used it exclusively. It was a learning tool, more or less.
I really did fight it back then. If you look back to January of 05, I was trying my damnedest to not actually use Mac OS. I had like 4 different flavors of Linux, none of which really worked right. Eventually, I gave up and just started using OSX. Flash forward almost 4 years. I used my iBook more and more, and really started enjoying how OSX Functions. I upgraded the iBook to Tiger, and liked it even more.
That brings me to this week. I officially became a mac guy. I went out, and bought myself a new MacBook Pro, with the full intention to use it as a mac :) Sure, I did load windows on it, mostly for the occasional gaming session, But I deal with enough Windows crap every day, I'm a mac user at home :D
